The original fan belt pulley lacks any retaining system for the belt. If the tension on the belt loosens there is the possibility of the belt being thrown causing the airflow that cools the internal components of the engine to cease. Without this airflow the engine will cook itself to failure.
 
This new design of pulley has retaining walls to keep the belt in place to drastically reduce the chance of a belt failure.
 
This kit comes with everything necessary to replace the pulley including; all crush washers, kaynuts, nylocs, zip ties, shrink wrap, safety wire and the manual specified loctite varriants.
